CSAM Report Intake — Policy Statement
1) Purpose & Scope
This statement explains how suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material (“CSAM”)
related to MissAV is reported and handled. It applies to content accessible via
MissAV only.
2) No Files Policy
Do not upload, attach, or transmit CSAM to us under any circumstance. Public
reporters must provide metadata and links only (e.g., URLs, timestamps,
context). Attachments containing images or files will be rejected and purged.
3) Intake Method — Public CSAM Inbox
We provide a dedicated inbox for CSAM reports: [email protected]. Do
not send files; include metadata only. For emergencies or immediate danger,
contact local law enforcement (“LE”) first. Referrals from recognized hotlines
and LE are prioritized.
4) Definition — “Validated Report”
A “Validated Report” is (a) a referral from a recognized hotline or LE; or (b) a
report with sufficient, credible indicators (e.g., hotline ticket # or LE case
#) enabling verification without exposure to illegal content. Public submissions
that lack sufficient indicators may not be actioned.
5) Actions on Validated Report
Upon receipt of a Validated Report, MissAV will promptly remove/disable access to
the reported URL(s) hosted on our services, preserve only minimal necessary
metadata, and cooperate with lawful and authenticated requests.
6) Data Handling & Retention
We do not accept or store CSAM files. Any files received are rejected and
purged. Necessary metadata (e.g., URL, timestamps, internal case IDs) is
retained for 12 months, or longer if legally required or while an investigation
is active. We maintain chain-of-custody for preserved metadata.
7) Hashes & Evidence
Hash values (MD5/SHA1/SHA256/PhotoDNA) may be provided by authorized
investigators only. Do not create or distribute new copies of content to compute
hashes.
8) Information to Include (email subject/body)
‧ Full direct URL(s)
‧ Timestamp(s) / File ID (if applicable)
‧ Basis for “minor” determination (hotline ref / LE ref / verified evidence)
‧ Hash value(s) (if available; authorized investigators only)
‧ Reporter contact & authority (if any)
‧ Any additional supporting material (context/logs only — no images or files)
9) Legal & Safety Notices
Submissions must be in good faith; false or malicious reports may have legal
consequences. This statement is not legal advice. Requirements may vary by
jurisdiction. Nothing herein creates obligations beyond applicable law or
constitutes admission. We may be unable to provide individual updates on
reports.
